From June 12-15, 2025, Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan served as the venue for the Mid-Western Regional Teen Leadership Conference under the theme Empowerment Through Unity: Stronger Together. Our Teen Gregory Mitchell concluded his term as the Regional Teen Treasurer, and VP Kimberly Mitchell served as Regional Logistics Coordinator for the conference. Also from our chapter, Regional Community Impact Chair Leslie Levy played a pivotal role in organizing the Foundation Rally and STEM Community Service Activity, and Regional Curriculum Chair Rashida Downing was instrumental in planning the Teen Workshops.
From start to finish, our teens showed up, showed out, and represented the Jack and Jill South Suburban Chicago Chapter with poise, passion, and pure excellence! Competing in multiple events and placing in EVERY SINGLE ONE is no small feat! Our Teens rose to the occasion with heart, hustle, and true JJSSCC spirit! They were leaders, competitors, cheerleaders, and champions, proving that teamwork, resilience, and dedication always shine through.
Special shoutout to Teen Gregory Mitchell, who ran a phenomenal campaign and delivered a flawless speech that would make even seasoned politicians take note! His leadership, courage, and determination embody everything we stand for, and we’re so proud of the way he represented us!
A special standing ovation goes to Teen Sydney Davis, who captured 3rd Place in the Oratorical Contest for 9th/10th Graders! Her commanding presence, powerful message, and eloquence wowed the judges and inspired us all. Sydney, your voice is a force and this is only the beginning!
A heartfelt salute to Teen Ronnie Gordon Jr., who proudly represented JJSSCC as our Senior of the Year! Ronnie’s poise, excellence, and servant leadership made him a shining example of all that we hope for in our future leaders. Your journey inspires us, and your legacy will continue to uplift our chapter for years to come!
